Amazon’s Prime Day(s) have started! (It’s July 12-13), and I’ll be the first to admit I spend too much on Amazon. It’s so fast and easy that I use it all the time.
I don’t usually buy tack on Amazon because I do like to support a local tack shop, though I do order online if I need something that isn’t carried in a store.
Typically there are not equestrian specific items for Prime Day, but that doesn’t mean you can’t find great deals on things you may need or want around the barn.

Security Cameras
Why do equestrians need security cameras? Well we are obsessed with our horses and making sure we know what is going on with them at any moment of the day, so why would’t we watch them on security cameras. I know I turn mine on when I’m just wondering if my horses are eating or sleeping or anything else! Also handy when you are out of town. Oh yes, and you can use them for normal security camera uses, like around your house!
Ring Security Cameras
I personally use Ring cameras – my favorite features are the easy set up and battery powered cameras. Ring cameras are usually 10-40% off for Prime Day. I’ve seen rumor that the spotlight camera is $50 off this year! I use the spotlight cameras near my house because they capture video and turn on a bright light when motion activated. I use the Stick Up Camera in the barn and looking into the horses paddocks. *One important note is that Ring cameras require wifi signal to function.
I have to use a wifi extender (this is the one I use, and it’s only $29.99) to get the signal to reach the barn. For reference, my barn is about 350-400 feet from the house, so this gets the signal from the edge of the house up to the barn.

The Ring Spotlight Camera (Motion activated light on a battery run camera)

Arlo Outdoor Security Camera
Another wifi camera that many equestrians use is the Arlo outdoor camera. They have a good picture quality and can be installed almost anywhere. You will need wifi access for these cameras though so read on if that is a limiting factor.
Prime Day Price $249.99, normally $349.99 (for the 3 pack). That’s 29% off!
ReoLink Outdoor Cellular Security Camera
If you don’t have wifi capability at the barn, as long as you can get cellular signal, the Reolink Cellular Security Camera is a great option. It utilizes a solar panel so the battery doesn’t need to be recharged. You’ll need to pay a subscription to a cellular carrier for it, but it’s typically $10 a month, so not too high of a cost! I’m not sure if this will be on sale for Prime Day but this post will be updated with the pricing on that day.

Keurig Coffee Maker
While not completely barn related, who doesn’t need a new coffee maker in the tack room? The Keurig is perfect for single serve coffee and hot chocolate. Historically, Keurig’s go on sale for Prime Day, so they likely will have some good deals this year too!

Solar Lights
Solar lights are great for lighting up pathways, fenceposts or parts of your barn or arena. There are always great deals on solar lights whether decorative or functional. We’ll find a few types on Prime Day and add links here.
Aootek solar lights are a great choice for fence posts and are 20% off today. I use these lights on walkways to and rom the barn so I don’t have to remember to turn on the lights!

Air Pods
Are you in need of a new set of headphones? Air Pods are my favorite! I know some people like other brands, but I use these every day. Whether it’s to listen to a podcast while cleaning stalls or taking the dog on a walk, I’m wearing my Air Pods. My job also requires a lot of phone calls so to remain hands free I utilize my air pods all day for phone calls.
These are comfortable, sweat and water resistant and light weight. All these features making them excellent headphones for use at home or at the barn.

Pet Grooming Supplies
Most notably: Pet Deshedding Gloves
There are usually good deals on pet grooming supplies for Prime Day. A big one that I think everyone should have are a pair of deshedding gloves. I’m not sure which brand will have the best deal that day, but here are what you should keep an eye out for!
These work great for deshedding your horse, but also giving them a bath as it really scrubs in the soaps and helps to rinse them clean.

Bluetooth Speaker
Do you like to play music at the barn? Well then, a bluetooth speaker is definitely on the list of items to keep an eye on! Just don’t be that annoying person blasting music while someone else is trying to spend quality time riding or with their horse.

A small car vacuum cleaner isn’t just for your always dirty car or truck, these are super handy for vacuuming out the horse trailer or your tack locker. It is so nice to quickly vacuum up the trailer so it’s clean the next time you open it up. We all know how quickly hay, dirt, and hair accumulate in our cars too. A little portable vacuum can come in handy to suck up messes quickly.
